Business Development Manager
Job Description
Identify, research, and engage with potential clients through outbound channels (calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking, events).Qualify leads by understanding their business needs, challenges, and decision-making processes.Maintain a strong and consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team.Conduct discovery calls to gather relevant information and assess client fit.Clearly articulate the company’s products/services, value proposition, and competitive advantages.Schedule appointments and demos for Account Executives or Sales Managers.Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to align strategies and messaging.Provide feedback from client interactions to help improve product offerings and campaigns.Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new market opportunitiesAccurately log all activities, interactions, and prospect details in the CRM system.Track and report on weekly/monthly KPIs such as number of calls, meetings booked, and lead conversions.Ensure timely follow-ups and consistent communication with prospects.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field2-4 years of experience in sales, customer service, or business developmentExperience in [industry, e.g., SaaS, BPO, Finance] is a plusSkills & CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.Resilient, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with a positive attitude.Ability to handle objections and rejections professionally.Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) is an advantage.Strong organizational and time-management skills.
